The "Rotary Club Le Caire-Champollion" is a non political and non governmental service club which started in Cairo, in 2003. It was created under the initiative of Governor Ignace Mouawad who was reactivating the former Gezirah Club which stopped its activities in 2002.
The only francophone Rotary Club in Egypt, with French as the official language, it includes Egyptians and expatriates, men and women from the business sector or professionals, who, respecting the Rotary International motto "Rotary Serving Humanity" joined in order to dedicate time, resources and expertise to serve the community and the Egyptian people with humanitarian and educative projects and programs.
